Evernote – Never Forget an Idea

Evernote is a web service and software that lets you store and organize all of your text, picture, and voice notes in a single location.

A huge benefit of Evernote is the ability to create new notes, or access your existing notes on any computer or mobile device.

ORGANIZATION TOOL

How often have you been away from your primary computer and want to check a document or a note you wrote, or have an idea you don’t want to forget?

Evernote solves these problem by syncing your notes to the cloud so your able to access your information anywhere you have an Internet
connection. For example, I wrote part of this post using my Evernote application while on the bus with my IPhone, but finished it from Evernote on my laptop when I got home.

Another really cool Evernote feature is it’s ability to search for words inside your pictures. You can take a snapshot of the whiteboard containing lecture notes and diagrams to save for later review.  When you need to find it, just search on words that were written on the whiteboard (as long as they were legible) and Evernote will find that note with the image….very cool and a huge time saver!

I know some instructors that take pictures of all of their lectures and then share the Evernote notebook with their class so the class always has access to the notes…very handy for students that miss class.
